Our commitment

The Break Buddy extension is designed to collect the minimum data necessary, storing everything locally on your device. See the Third parties section below for how this website handles analytics.

What we collect

Locally (on your device): Break timer settings, break statistics (counts and streaks), and accessibility preferences. This data stays in your browser.

When you upgrade (optional): Your email address and license key, processed securely via our payment provider. We do not store full payment details.

What we do NOT collect

• Your browsing history
• The content of pages you visit
• Your browsing behaviour, tab content, or visited URLs
• Any data from sites you visit
• Personally identifiable information beyond email (for paid plans)

Permissions we request

• storage — to save your settings and stats locally
• alarms — to schedule break reminders
• tabs / activeTab — to show break overlays on the active page and check excluded sites

Third parties

This website uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate page traffic (pages visited, session duration, referrer). No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting or a GA opt-out extension.

The extension sends anonymous usage telemetry by default — you can turn this off at any time in Settings. No other network calls are made from the extension.
